Where We Are

We are ten minutes off Junction 1 of the M50 motorway.

Our nearest town is Upton-upon-Severn (famous for its Jazz Festival and Blues Festival). Upton is only a ten minute drive away, or a short walk across the fields on the public footpath. A lovely little town with all the handy amenities you need, you will find two small supermarkets, a couple of newsagents, a variety of small local shops (bakery, bookshop, map-seller, antiques etc), a cracking good chippy and a choice of pubs and restaurants. And of course the River Severn. It is a super little tourist town and, especially in the Summer months, makes a lot of effort to see that there is everything that the visitor would wish to find. In Summer there are river cruises running, a variety of Festivals and the town always has a lovely buzz to it. If you prefer the country pub, there is a good choice available within a short drive.

About twenty minutes away is Great Malvern and the Malvern Hills - a place for great scenery and walking if ever there was one. If you would simply like to watch the sunset over the Malvern Hills (which I recommend) you can get a wonderful view simply by walking across the Common in the late evening - but take a torch if you plan to watch the sun ALL the way down - we don't have streetlights!!! :-)

Our other small local towns are Tewkesbury (15 minutes drive - famous site of the Battle) and Pershore (20 minutes away and famous for its Plum Festival)

The nearest large city is Worcester, about 9 miles away, but also in striking distance is Cheltenham
